Yeji Pyun, Violinist
Violinist Yeji Pyun holds a Master of Music degree in Contemporary Performance and Production from the Manhattan School of Music and a Master of Music degree in Classical Violin from the Mannes School of Music, and completed her Bachelor of Music in Orchestral Instruments at Sookmyung Women's University.
An accomplished orchestral and chamber musician, she has served as Concertmaster of the Tactus Ensemble, the Mannes Orchestra, the New School Community Orchestra, and the MusicON annual contemporary music festival ensemble. She also served as a section violinist with the Gwacheon Philharmonic Orchestra and collaborated with the Duna Chamber Orchestra in Budapest, Hungary.
Her performances have taken her to some of the world's most prestigious stages, including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, the Sydney Opera House, Seoul Arts Center, The Frick Collection, the German Embassy in New York, and the United Nations, as well as concert halls across Europe and at the New York City Electroacoustic Music Festival (NYCEMF).
She is the recipient of First Prize in both the Music Education Newspaper Competition and the Haneum Music Competition, in both violin and chamber music categories.
