Minjoo Moon, Violinist
Violinist Minjoo Moon is a Korean-born musician who enjoys a versatile career as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral player. She received her Master of Music degree and Professional Studies Certificate at the Manhattan School of Music, where she studied with New York Philharmonic Associate Concertmaster Sheryl Staples.
She has served as a violinist with the Syracuse Orchestra and was appointed to a first violin position with the North Carolina Symphony for the 2024–25 season, holding the Harvey At-Large Chair. She has also participated in the National Repertory Orchestra.
She is the winner of the Ruth Widder String Quartet Competition and the Lillian Fuchs Chamber Music Competition, and was also a first prize winner in additional competitions.
